I was born in Lahijan, in the north of Iran, on 21 March 1982, but I grew up and obtained my early education in Karaj. My academic study in Animal Science has been started from University of Tehran since 2000. However, my professional career in Animal Science was began in 2004 with the beginning of my master’s coursework and research in animal nutrition at Tarbiat Modares University’s Faculty of Agriculture. During this time, I focused on egg multi-enrichment with omega-3 fatty acids, selenium and vitamin E, as well as perform a number of researches at Animal Science Research Institute (ASRI) on dietary supplements for heat-stressed hens.

I focused on lipogenesis in broiler breeder hens for my doctoral research at University of Tehran. My Ph.D. dissertation entitled “Effects of Dietary Fiber Sources and Protein Content on Performance, Intestinal Morphology and Fat Metabolism of Broiler Breeder Hens” won the highly distinguished top Ph.D. dissertation award in 21st Research Festival of University of Tehran.

In September 2010, I joined the Department of Animal Production at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain. During that time as visiting researcher, I accomplished couple of research projects of my own while getting involved in the other ongoing projects in the lab.

After completing my doctoral degree at University of Tehran, I began my career as assistant professor at University of Guilan in September 2012. Now I"m focused on development of a phytogenic product as feed additive for poultry diet. I investigated a broad range of medicinal plants and their active components in broilers diet in several experiments.
